Ensuring a Safe, Respectful, and Gender-Equal Campus Environment
According to the UGC Prevention, Prohibition and Redress of Sexual Harassment of Women Employees and Students in Higher Educational Institutions Regulations, 2021, the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) was established. The Government of India's Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressed) Act 2013 served as the foundation for these laws. An Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) was established by Bharathiyar Arts and Science College for Women (Autonomous) to maintain a secure and healthy environment for female staff and girls on campus.
A Female Student who is being sexually harassed on Campus, including in the residence hall, may file a complaint with the Committee. The Committee will immediately address the matter and bring it to the Institution's Head's attention. The Committee will recommend corrective and punitive actions to be implemented.
Our Goal is to establish an Educational setting where everyone's Rights and dignity are valued and preserved, free from sexual harassment, discrimination, and gender-based violence.
In accordance with UGC Policies and pertinent legislation, our aim is to prevent and address instances of Sexual Harassment through Education, Awareness and efficient redressal methods.
