About R & D

The College provides good Ambience, state of the art Infrastructure and Conducive Environment which help in upgrading the skills of students, increasing their competencies for learning and make efforts to increase their participation in Innovation and Research activities. A number of activities are under taken in this direction for every academic year. Several methods like Industry- Institute Interactions, Research and Development activities, Entrepreneurship Development activities, and encouraging Intellectual Property generation are adopted to accomplish this.
Faculty members and Students are given freedom to choose the Research area of their choice and guidance is given to seek funding from various funding agencies and Industries.
The main objectives of R&D cell is,

• To encourage the faculty and students to publish their Research articles in UGC recognised Journals.
• Encouraging faculty and students to attend National and International Conferences.
• To promote research culture among Students and Faculty members.
• The Cell has charted a well-defined research policy and has carried out several activities to date. Faculty members are encouraged to enhance their knowledge through Research Fellowships. The Institution utilizes services of various Academic/ Research Organisations for the welfare of the Faculty members such as TNSCST & NABS.

Every year, R&D committee in consultation with IQAC prepares a strategic plan to enhance the quality of the Research by organizing events such as Seminars and Workshops are organized with reference to Research.Our Students participate in Exhibitions on Model Making, which enhances their creativity, develops a link between theory and practical application, and allows them to collect data by conducting extensive research on the subject. Student's career progresses as a result of their participation in Exhibitions.
