ORGANIC FARMING
Vermicompost is an organic manure produced through the activity of earthworms on biodegradable materials. It provides humus and nutrients while helping improve soil structure, aeration and moisture retention.
The initiative promotes organic waste management, agricultural awareness and practical learning. Students and farmers can explore how biodegradable waste can be transformed into a useful soil amendment.
Gather suitable organic materials.
Arrange the materials and maintain moisture.
Allow earthworms to process the organic matter.
Apply the finished compost appropriately.
Exploring natural solutions for agricultural sustainability.
NATURAL CULTIVATION
Azolla is a small aquatic fern associated with nitrogen-fixing cyanobacteria. Its biomass can contribute nutrients and organic matter to agricultural systems, particularly rice cultivation.
Azolla cultivation provides an opportunity to learn about biological processes, sustainable agriculture and alternatives that can complement conventional nutrient management.
