About the Department
Mathematics – Since 2003
“Mathematics is the most beautiful and most powerful creation of the human spirit.”
– Stefan Banach“Mathematics is the Queen of Science and Arithmetic is the Queen of Mathematics.”
– Carl Friedrich GaussOur dynamic and energetic Department of Mathematics inspires students to explore the beauty and power of mathematical thinking. Mathematics is the unshaken foundation of science and plays an essential role in developing logical reasoning, analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
The department has been functioning since 2003 for the undergraduate programme and since 2004 for the postgraduate programme. Research activities were introduced in 2012. The department has consistently achieved excellent academic results, producing 100% results in almost every year.
Academic Excellence
Students are encouraged to participate in seminars, conferences, workshops and other academic activities conducted at various institutions. These opportunities help them improve their mathematical knowledge, presentation skills, confidence and exposure to recent developments in the subject.
Faculty Excellence and Research
The department has over 10 faculty members who actively participate in training and professional development programmes. Faculty members contribute to academic advancement through research articles published in national and international journals and by presenting papers at national and international conferences.
